Attention Students and Parents: Save your course material receipts for possible tax credit.
Under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act’s newly created American Opportunity Tax Credit, textbook and other course material expenses—along with tuition and fees incurred in 2009 and 2010 not covered by scholarships or grants—may be claimed as a tax credit on that year’s tax return. Contact your tax professional for more information.
Parents and students should be aware that the College is working toward academic progress notes online. Banner will be used for the spring 2010 semester to identify grades in the mid-term grade slots AND emails will be sent to each student who is in jeopardy of failing a course. These notes will be forwarded the student’s Concordia College email address from February 12 to March 12.
On the "Worship for Shut-Ins" program of March 7th, the Concordia College-New York Tour Choir will be singing "God's Son Has Made Me Free". The program can be seen nationwide over DirecTV channel 377 at 11:30 am Eastern on Sundays. It is also Webcast at www.worshipforshutins.org. Just click "Online Worship".
