To help the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) celebrate their 100th anniversary, Concordia alumnus Charles A. (Chuck) Wills, ’87, has written a definitive history of this influential organization. Boy Scouts of America: A Centennial History features stories of service and heroism brought to life through photos from BSA’s archives. The book will be available in stores and online later this year. Chuck recently appeared on Good Morning America to comment on BSA’s historical journey. You can view that segment at: http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/video/boy-scouts-america-celebrate-centennial-9770366.
An English major at Concordia, Chuck Wills is a writer, editor, and consultant specializing in American History. His recent books include: Jack Kennedy: The Illustrated Life of a President, Lincoln: The Presidential Archives, and Destination America. Chuck also explored another passion with his collaboration on Grateful Dead: The Illustrated Trip. We hope to entice Chuck back to campus to share his experience as a writer and historian with Concordia students.
